Rutting season at Tatton Park was a scene to behold. Magnificent deer showing-off for all they were worth.

The deer were in good voice that day and in no way camera shy. Bellowing stags announced thier dominating precence, competeing and claiming the hinds as their own. The deer rut is one of natures most spectacular autumanal sights to witness. I was utterly mesmerised by the beauty of the stags as they were challenging their rivals.

Inquisitive young deer unfazed my me and my camera

This gorgeous adolescent red deer, too young to take part in the ruts, posed nicely enabling me to caputre a beautifully detailed portrait. I'm particularly fond of his quizzical expression and beautiful fluffy fur.

No i-deer what you're looking at missy?

While i was admiring the stunning deers at Tatton Park, this particular red deer stag looked totally perplexed as to why I was standing there taking photographs. He expressed his confusion by sticking his tongue out at me and cocking his ears. I love his totally bemused expression.

Majestic deer striding towards me with great prowess and pride
